DAY 1 Kyiv

Arrival to Borispol. After customs and passport formalities, you will be met by the representative of our company and transferred to Kiev. This ancient city is the capital of Ukraine and one of the biggest cities in Europe. It has been standing on steep hills overlooking the Dnipro River for more than 1,500 years. According to the ancient legend, Kyiv was founded by the three brothers Kyi, Schek and Khoryv and their sister Lybid, and it was named after the eldest brother Kyi. It is known as the mother city for all Eastern Slavic peoples. Kyiv Rus is the state from which Ukraine, Russia and Belarus are all descended.

Check-in and lunch at the hotel.

After lunch you will have a city tour “Acquaintance with ancient architectural monuments” including St. Sophia Cathedral and Monastery Complex which is a real pearl of the world architecture. No other European building of the XI century could be compared by its beauty and grandeur with Saint Sofia's Cathedral. Inside, you can view the largest frescoes and mosaics collection in the world. The beauty of Saint Sophia’s frescoes is as miraculous as those of the Saint Volodymyr's Cathedral in Kiev, Golden Gate (entrance to Ancient Kiev), St. Volodymyr Cathedral (the triple-naval, seven cupola cathedral was built in 1882 in the neo Byzantine style), St. Mykhaylo Golden Domed Cathedral (his cathedral was an old Kievan sacred place. It has been reconstructed because its main buildings were demolished in 1934-37 to prepare the construction site for the governmental centre), Mykhaylo’s street, Mariyinskiy Palace, bank of the Dnipro river.

DAY 2 Kyiv

Breakfast at the hotel. The first visit of the day will be to the golden-domed Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Monastery, the most famous sight-seeing object in Kiev, which has been included in UNESCO World Heritage Register. Monks Antony and Feodosiy founded it in 1051. The primary goal of the monastery was to spread the newly adopted Christian religion. A cave is "pechera" in Ukrainian, hence the name of monastery. Monks worshipped and lived in the caves, which still can be visited. The monks were also buried in these caves. The mixture of the cool temperatures and humid atmosphere of the caves allowed the bodies of the dead to mummify. This twenty-eight hector functioning monastery contains numerous churches, towers, a printing works, miles of maze like underground tunnels containing numerous churches and some of Kiev's richest museums.

After delicious lunch you will have some free time for revisiting one of many Kiev’s museums, shopping souvenirs and city exploration on your own.

After dinner at the hotel you will be transferred to the railway station to catch your train to Chernovtsy.

DAY 3 Chernovtsy

Arrival to Chernovtsy. Check-in and breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast you will have Chernovtsy city tour with visiting Chernovtsy National University, the former metropolitans' residence of Bukovina and Dolmacia (1864-1882), architector J. Glavka. Green Bukovyna is one of the most beautiful places in Ukraine. Charming land of Cheremosh and Prut Rivers amaze with the unique Bukovina forest, with the marvellous Cheremosh valley and the wide Prut dale. Besides the healing property of highlands, Bukovyna is famous for original Hutsul, Bukovyn and Moldavian culture. All these peoples live in this lavish land from the ancient time. Bukovyna proposes to tourists the acquaintance with folk trades, like pottery, embroidery, fretwork and so on.

Lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch you are invited to visit a Museum of folk architecture and mode of life.

DAY 4 Chernovtsy – Yaremche – Chernovtsy

After early at the hotel you will be transferred to a small town of Yaremche (the Carpathian Pearl). Yaremche lies next to the Carpathian Mountains, at the entrance of the Carpathian National Park, so Yaremche serves as a Carpathian tourist base for the region. The Prut river flows through the area and falls through a scenic gorge that is visited by many tourists. Locals sell a variety of crafts, souvenirs and artwork in an open air market by the falls. There are trails that lead out of Yaremche for those wanting to explore the cliffs, valleys and peaks nearby.

Then you will enjoy a tasty lunch at local restaurant.

After lunch you will have some free time. Then our coach will transfer you back to Chernovtsy.

DAY 5 Chernovtsy – Hotyn – Kamenets-Podolskiy

Check-out from the hotel after breakfast. You will be transferred to the town of Hotyn which was found on the steep bank of the river Dnister where situated the unique of its beauty Hotyn Fortress that during the centuries was eastern fortification of Rech Pospolyta. Stone walls with higher 60 meters impress with its greatness. Hotyn Fortress is a great combination of Turkish fortification and masterpiece of Ukrainian builders.

After lunch at the local restaurant you will have excursion to Kamenets-Podolskiy which is one of the oldest towns in Ukraine with thousand year’s history. The most interesting part of the town is – Old Town – which is situated in the rocky island, at a height of 20-30 m. Essential part of the Old town, it’s pearl, is Old fortress, which is the symbol of Kamenets-Podolskiy. Just like continue of the stone rocky raise the tower of the fortress. Eleven towers are included in the composition of the fortress and all of them have it own history. In the Old Town intertwined buildings of different centuries and styles. Every street, every build has its own history, legend, secret, which it’s bring from the centuries. Kamenets-Podolskiy is called the town under the sky. Visiting it you will be caught in charms of century’s history, which is on the narrow streets, palace buildings, cloisters, churches and unique panorama of the Old Town.

Then you will be transferred to the railway station for your overnight train to Kiev.

DAY 6 Kiev

Early arrival to Kiev. Transfer to the hotel and breakfast there.

Excursion to Museum of Ukrainian Architecture “Pirogovo” that is well known as famous museum “under open sky“. The tourists will be in touch with the history of development of Ukrainian architecture. A national museum, which preserved the culture of Ukrainian people, is located in the suburbs of town Pirogovo. Three hundred ancient rural huts, collected from all over Ukraine can be seen in Pirogovo. The majority of them were moved to the museum and then reconstructed. Huts, wooden churches, water and wind mills, also clothes, kitchen utensils dating back to the period of 17th beginning of the 20th century give to every visitor a realistic impression of the travel in time.

Walking thought Khreschatyk (main street of Kiev), Independence Square.

Visiting of the underground shopping centre “GLOBUS”.

Dinner at the hotel.

DAY 7 Kiev

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out followed by the transfer to Borispol airport for your departure flight
